1. Data Controller
The data controller is Gianfranco Quaranta, promoter of the "Gallipoli Tuna Fishery" project, Gallipoli (LE). For any matter related to data processing, you can write to info@tonnaragallipoli.it.
2. Data Collected
The site collects only the data voluntarily provided by the user through the forms on the site: the updates subscription (email address), the reporting form on the "Join" page (name, email address, optional phone, type and description of the reported material) and the researcher access request (name, email address, institution, research subject).
Form submissions are forwarded to info@tonnaragallipoli.it through the Web3Forms service, which acts as a data processor solely for delivering the message.
Site navigation is static and does not involve the installation of profiling cookies. No personal browsing data is tracked.
3. Purpose and Legal Basis of Processing
The data provided are used exclusively for:
- contacting users interested in contributing testimonies and historical material;
- organizing the digitization or collection of the reported material;
- sending updates on the progress of the Multimedia Museum project, only with prior consent.
The legal basis is the consent of the data subject (art. 6, par. 1, lett. a GDPR) and, for the purposes of cultural heritage enhancement, the performance of a task carried out in the public interest (art. 6, par. 1, lett. e GDPR).
4. Processing and Storage
Data are processed with computer and telematic tools, using logic strictly related to the purposes indicated above and, in any case, in a way that guarantees the security and confidentiality of the data themselves. The data will be stored for the period strictly necessary to achieve the purposes and in any case no longer than the terms provided by current legislation.
5. Data Subject Rights
At any time, pursuant to Articles 15-22 of the GDPR, the data subject has the right to:
- access their personal data;
- request rectification or deletion;
- request restriction of processing;
- object to processing and request data portability;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing already carried out;
- lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority.

6. Cookies
The site does not use profiling or marketing cookies. No cookie consent banner is displayed because no cookies are installed. Fonts are hosted directly on the site: browsing does not involve connections to third-party services such as Google Fonts.
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., USA), which logs visitors’ IP addresses for security and service operation purposes. This processing is governed by GitHub’s privacy statement.

This policy may be updated. The current version is always available on this page, with the date of the latest update indicated.
